    Uttara Plane Crash: Death Toll Rises to 16, Over 60 Injured – Bd24live

    A Bangladesh Air Force F-7 BGI training aircraft crashed into the campus of Milestone College in Uttara, Dhaka, on Monday (July 21) at 1:18 PM, resulting in a confirmed death toll of 16, according to official government sources. Over 60 others have been injured, many of whom are students of the institution.

    The aircraft crashed directly onto the main college building, triggering panic and chaos in the area. Witnesses reported terrified students, crying parents, and a massive crowd gathering near the burning structure.

    The critically injured victims have been admitted to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, where doctors report severe burn injuries across large portions of many patients’ bodies. The institute has issued an urgent appeal for blood donations.

    At least four severely injured individuals were airlifted by Bangladesh Air Force helicopters to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH). Others have been taken to Bangladesh Medical College Hospital, Kuwait Maitree Hospital, and other nearby medical facilities.

    The Fire Service deployed eight units to conduct rescue operations. In addition, the Army, police, and RAB (Rapid Action Battalion) have joined forces to assist with emergency response and crowd control.

    Chief of Army Staff visited the crash site in the afternoon to oversee the rescue efforts and instructed the personnel to ensure immediate medical aid for the victims.

    Nobel Laureate and Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus expressed deep sorrow over the tragic event and extended his condolences to the families of the victims.

    Videos and photos of the crash quickly went viral on social media, showing students screaming, buildings engulfed in flames, and emotional scenes of devastation.
